The Graphite Design Tour AD HD (Hyper-Drive) is a premium graphite wood shaft built for golfers who want to take their ball striking into another gear. Produced at the Graphite Design factory in Japan, the HD is engineered using the company's proprietary Material Stiffness Integration (MSI) design philosophy alongside some of the most advanced carbon fibre materials available in shaft manufacturing.

The HD features Graphite Design's FIT (Fast Taper Technology) in combination with TORAYCA® M40X carbon fibre in the mid and tip section, and ultra-high modulus TORAYCA® T1100G carbon fibre in the tip. The result is a shaft with exceptional stability and precise ball control, without sacrificing the responsive feel that Tour AD shafts are known for worldwide.

With a firm butt section, firm centre section and a firm-plus tip section, the HD is designed to produce a mid-launch with low to low-mid spin. It suits golfers who want a penetrating, controlled ball flight off the tee and are looking for a shaft that holds up under aggressive swing speeds.

Key Features:

  • Produced in Japan using Graphite Design's MSI design philosophy
  • FIT (Fast Taper Technology) for a stable, controlled feel through impact
  • TORAYCA® M40X carbon fibre in the mid and tip section
  • Ultra-high modulus TORAYCA® T1100G carbon fibre in the tip for enhanced stability
  • Firm butt, firm centre and firm-plus tip profile
  • Mid-launch with low to low/mid spin characteristics
  • Available in three weight categories: 50g, 60g and 70g
  • .335" tip diameter for compatibility with a wide range of hosel adapters

Understanding the TX Flex Option

The Tour AD HD is available in four flex options: R1, Stiff, X and TX. Most golfers will be familiar with Regular, Stiff and X-Stiff, but TX (Tour X) is worth a mention. TX sits above X-Stiff in overall stiffness and is designed for players with very high swing speeds and aggressive tempos who find standard X-Stiff shafts feeling too soft or unstable under load. If you're swinging north of 110 mph with the driver and want maximum control and a very low spin profile, TX is worth considering.
