Graphite Design Tour AD UB Driver/Wood Shaft

The Graphite Design Tour AD UB (Ultra Balance) is a premium graphite wood shaft engineered to maximise the performance of modern, large-headed drivers with high moment of inertia. Built at the Graphite Design factory in Japan, the UB is designed to suppress unnecessary head movement through impact and deliver a stronger, more efficient strike with no energy loss.

The UB uses a slow taper design that makes it easier to find your timing on the downswing, while the high-rigidity construction keeps the shaft from twisting under load. The result is a shaft that feels stable and controlled throughout the swing, yet still provides the smooth, responsive feel that Tour AD shafts are renowned for.

TORAYCA® M40X carbon fibre is used throughout the tip to mid section, while TORAYCA® T1100G, a ultra-high modulus material manufactured using nano-level fibre structure control, is used in the tip section to deliver exceptional rigidity and precise ball control shot after shot.

Understanding the SR and TX Flex Options

The Tour AD UB is available in five flex options: SR, R1, Stiff, X and TX. SR (Senior) suits golfers with a smooth tempo and moderate swing speed who want maximum help loading the shaft and getting the ball airborne. TX (Tour X) sits above X-Stiff and is aimed at high-speed players, typically swinging 110 mph or more, who want a very firm, low-spin profile and find standard X-Stiff shafts feeling unstable under load.
